Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager, Social Media & Digital Content supports the execution of the social media and digital content strategy across Beautynova Americas' portfolio of brands, including milk_shake®, DEPOT®, and Medavita, for both professional and consumer audiences. Working closely with the Director of Social & Digital Content, this role is responsible for coordinating content creation, managing content calendars, supporting campaign execution, creating social-first content, and ensuring seamless execution across social and digital channels. The Coordinator will also assist with community management, content production, trend monitoring, reporting analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to help grow brand awareness, engagement, and overall digital performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director of Social & Digital Content in executing the social media and digital content strategy across Beautynova Americas' portfolio of brands, including milk_shake®, DEPOT®, and Medavita.
  • Partner closely with the Director to manage campaign planning, content calendars, creative requests, project timelines, and cross-functional coordination to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day social content calendar, ensuring content is planned, scheduled, published, and optimized across all social platforms while maintaining alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Brand Marketing, Education, Sales, Creative, E-commerce, Paid Media, and external partners to support integrated campaigns, product launches, seasonal initiatives, and key business priorities.
  • Create, capture, edit, source, and repurpose engaging social-first content, including short-form video, Reels, Stories, graphics, photography, and behind-the-scenes content, following a "create once, distribute everywhere" approach.
  • Support content production by developing shot lists, creative briefs, production needs, product lists, and content requests for campaigns, photoshoots, education, and events.
  • Capture and publish real-time content during photoshoots, trade shows, educational events, and brand activations.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and approvals across multiple campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders remain informed throughout the creative process.
  • Maintain and organize the digital content library, ensuring assets are properly tagged, archived, and easily accessible across teams for future campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with the Influencer Marketing team to support creator campaigns by coordinating content needs, aligning campaign timelines, and ensuring influencer assets are incorporated into the broader social content strategy.
  • Support community management by monitoring social channels, responding to comments and messages, escalating customer service inquiries when appropriate, and identifying opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Monitor social trends, platform updates, competitor activity, and cultural moments, proactively recommending content opportunities, emerging best practices, and new platform features.
  • Utilize social media management and analytics tools to schedule content, monitor performance, and support publishing workflows.
  • Review and analyze social performance reports, identifying key insights, content trends, competitive activity, and opportunities to optimize future content and campaigns.
  • Support agency and freelance partners by coordinating creative deliverables, timelines, approvals, and assets.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, platform best practices, and creative standards.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Passion for beauty, social media, digital culture, and content creation.
  • Experience creating short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories, and emerging platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Experience with social media management platforms and analytics tools (Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, Later, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Canva and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance metrics.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker who stays current on social trends, emerging platforms, and best practices.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remote work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
  • Walking between different departments when in the office.
  • Occasional travel for sales trips, educational flights, or collaboration with marketing teams at other locations.
  • Adaptability to different working environments, including interactions with remote teams and account partners across various time zones.


What We Offer:
  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 annually, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
